Women Who Thryv: Robin Jackson
Q: Tell us about your business.
A: My focus is on Southern Cooking. Many of the recipes were created by my Grandma, Mother, and Auntie. I've taken these recipes and made them my own, either by adding "on-trend" ingredients or maybe putting a healthy spin on them. But let's face it, Southern Cooking is all about flavor and comfort food. My hope is that when you eat my food you experience some of the comforting feelings I felt sitting at the tables of the women in my family.
Q: Tell us about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.
A: I've cooked all of my life and have catered events large and small throughout the years. Upon leaving my career as an executive in the marketing and advertising industry I began to focus on a lifelong dream of bringing comfort food to the masses. Those who know me would agree that my personality is somewhat "saucy" hence the name Saucy Savories.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge along the way?
A: Self-care. I believe this is an issue many women face. We believe that if we are not meeting everyone's needs and expectations we are failing. And this leads to my newfound love of CBD. I have never been a good sleeper. The older I get, the more I realize this is critical to my well-being.
Q: What Thryv product(s) do you use, and when do you take your CBD?
A: My favorite tincture is the orange. I've tried different CBD oils and tinctures and could not tolerate the bad taste. The orange from Thryv is so pleasant and refreshing. Additionally, I use the Everyday Soft Gels.
Q: What has been your experience with Thryv's CBD products been like?
A: The products from Thryv have exceeded my expectations. I am not only a loyal customer, but also an advocate for Thryv. I have recommended their products to so many people and will continue to do so.
Q: How has CBD helped you?
A: I have found the products I take to be so helpful for headaches and anxiety.
Q: Any advice you can share with fellow female entrepreneurs?
A: Self-care! Self-Care! Self-Care! AND say “no” when you need to. The world will keep spinning if you take a nap, get a massage, or spend time with your girlfriends. That leads me to my second most important point...Surround yourself with other positive, loving, hard-working women. No one will support you like other women!
